39th annual William Foxwell Albright Lecture

Join us at 5:30 p.m. March 31 for the 39th annual William Foxwell Albright Lecture. This event is sponsored by The Department of Near Eastern Studies and the Harvey M. and Lyn P. Meyerhoff Foundation. This year’s Albright Lecture will celebrate the career of P. Kyle McCarter, the William Foxwell Albright Professor in Biblical and Ancient Near Eastern Studies, upon his retirement.

Ronald Hendel, the Norma and Sam Dabby Professor of Hebrew Bible and Jewish Studies at the University of California, Berkeley, will give the Albright Lecture titled, “Exodus, Conquest and the Alchemy of Memory.”

The event will be held in Gilman Hall 50 on the Homewood Campus of Johns Hopkins University.

Enjoy coffee with Professor Hendel before the lecture at 5 p.m. Then, join us for a reception after the lecture at the Hopkins Club from 6:30-9 p.m.
