On February 6, 2023, southern Turkey and northwestern Syria were devastated by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake which has claimed the lives of more than 20,000 people and destroyed multiple towns, including two important archaeological sites: Zincirli and Alalah. The following GoFundMe Campaigns have been set up in order to help pay for generators, food, water, and other ways of assisting the people connected to the excavations and their families.
